SSC MTS 2019 – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release SSC MTS notification on April 22, 2019. Candidates will have to apply online for the exam. The application form will available from April 22 to May 22, 2019. Candidates who have completed class 10/matriculation/SSC and are in the age group of 18 to 25 years are eligible to apply. According to SSC MTS 2019 selection process, the exam will consist of two papers – 1 and 2.

The paper 1 of SSC MTS will be conducted from August 2 to September 6, 2019. Candidates who will qualify the Paper 1 will be eligible for appearing in Paper 2.The paper 2 will be held on November 17, 2019. Candidates for the post of MTS will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper 1 subjected to their qualifying the Paper 2.

What is SSC MTS 2019 Exam?

SSC MTS exam is conducted every year for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff to General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Central Government Ministries, Departments, Offices, in different States / Union Territories.

Must have passed Class 10/matric/SSC

The application form of SSC MTS will be released on April 22. The last day to apply for SSC MTS is May 22. SSC MTS 2019 application form comprises two parts. In Part I, candidates have to first register for the exam by submitting their basic details. In application Part II, candidates are required to pay the examination fees and upload scanned images of photograph and signature.

SSC MTS examination fee is Rs 100 for General and OBC category while SC, ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen, Women candidates are exempted from fee payment. Candidates can pay their fee through online bank challan, SBI net banking, credit or debit card. The steps to fill SSC MTS application are explained below.

The computer-based test of SSC MTS will be conducted across 124 cities spread throughout the country. One particular city might have multiple SSC MTS exam centres. Candidates have to enter their preferences of exam centres while filling the application form. Change in examination centres are not allowed therefore, candidates have to choose the same carefully. The admit card of SSC MTS for CBT will be issued to candidates one week before the examination. Candidates have to download SSC MTS admit card online by entering registration ID or roll number and date of birth. All candidates who will apply successfully for the exam before the last date are assigned roll numbers.

SSC MTS 2019 admit card will include the candidate’s name, photograph, signature, roll number, exam date, time, exam centre, application number and name of papers. Candidates must carry at least one photo identity proof to the examination centre. In case, candidates are not issued admit cards before the exam should immediately contact the regional offices of SSC along with the proof of having submitted the application.

SSC MTS exam comprises two papers – Paper I and II. The Paper I as per SSC MTS exam pattern is a Computer Based exam consisting 100 objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 100 marks. There are four sections – General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness.

The exam will be in both languages i.e., English and Hindi. Candidates will get 90 minutes to solve the questions. As per marking scheme, 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. Paper II is a pen and paper mode that includes descriptive type questions. Candidates in this paper are given to write essay or letter in English. Total marks allotted to this paper are 50. The syllabus of SSC MTS Paper I comprises topics from four sections of the exam – Reasoning Ability and General Intelligence, Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude, General English and General Awareness. The answer key of SSC MTS will be released after completion of exam. Candidates’ response sheet along with SSC MTS 2019 answer key will be available online. To download the answer key and response sheet candidates have to enter user ID and password. Candidates may raise their objections or representations in respect to the answer keys if any. Objections have to be submitted online on payment of Rs 100 per answer/question. SSC will examine the objections with the subject-matter experts. If the objections are accepted then SSC will release final answer key.

The result of SSC MTS will be released in two stages – Paper I and II. The result of all the stages will be available online. The roll numbers of qualified candidates will be made available in PDF format. On the basis of SSC MTS 2019 result of Paper I, candidates will be shortlisted for Paper II. SSC will fix qualifying marks for Paper I select suitable candidates for next round of selection process. SSC MTS Paper II is qualifying in nature, however, candidates need to secure the cutoff to qualify the exam. SSC MTS result of paper II will be declared after the conduct of the exam. Candidates will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper I provided they qualify Paper II. The marks of candidates will be released few days after the declaration of SSC MTS result as per regions.

The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection process. Cutoff will be applied for Paper I and Paper II. SSC MTS 2019 cutoff for Paper I will be released in April 2019. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cutoff marks will be shortlisted for Paper II.
